Basilica of Bom Jesus

Situated in the heart of Old Goa, Basilica of Bom Jesus was built in 1605 and ranks as the most important and frequently visited church in Old Goa. It houses the mortal remains of Goa’s patron saint, St. Francis Xavier who died in 1552. This renaissance and baroque style building is now listed in the World Heritage Monument list.
